Kaiundo Hakucho no Mizuumi (Swan Lake)

A winter landscape in Azumino where swans rest their wings. This scene has been transformed into a sweet by Kaiundo, a long-established shop in Matsumoto City. "Hakucho no Mizuumi" is a signature confection of Kaiundo, which transitioned from a textile merchant to a confectioner in 1884. In early winter, many swans arrive at the stagnant waters of the Sai River flowing through Azumino, earning it the name "Swan Lake." Inspired by these swans, this is a molded soft cookie similar to Rakugan. Enveloped in a gentle sugar coating, it crumbles delicately in your mouth. It is adorable in appearance and perfect for gifts. When visiting Matsumoto, please enjoy a bite while imagining the swans descending upon the waters of Azumino. The scenery of winter in Shinshu will unfold in your mouth.
