The Iida specialty "Sugomori" is a premium fresh confection proudly presented by Itochu of Iida City, Southern Shinshu. Since its release in 1940, artisans have continued to make it with care in a dedicated factory. Special custard paste made with plenty of fresh egg yolks is shaped like an egg and coated in high-quality white chocolate. It offers an elegant taste where Japanese and Western styles meet, much like a custard pudding. Its excellence was recognized with an Honorary Gold Award at the National Confectionery Expo.
