Founded in Tsurugi-machi in 1934 and later moving to Higashiyama after the war, Nakadaya has remained committed to using Hokkaido-grown Dainagon adzuki beans. Artisans carefully cook these large, sugar-rich beans so they remain plump without falling apart. The spring-exclusive 'Kintsuba Sakura' features white bean paste adorned with salt-pickled cherry blossoms.
