Tokiwado Ningyo-yaki Mikoshi - Tsubuan (Chunky Red Bean)
Ningyo-yaki from Tokiwado, well known for their Asakusa Kaminari-okoshi. This is a famous Edo-style confection consisting of bean paste wrapped in castella batter and baked to a fragrant finish. The mikoshi-shaped version with tsubuan offers a delightful texture from the whole red beans. The fluffy batter pairs perfectly with the sweet, tender bean paste.
