Azabu-juban Kineya Salt Pasta
When you take a bite of the twisted pasta, it crunches with a pleasant snap, and the savory umami of salt spreads gently through your mouth. Once you start eating, you won't be able to stop; the light texture and simple flavor leave a lasting impression. Azabu-juban Kineya is a specialty shop for 'adult snack treats,' established in 2014 from a specialized fried okaki (rice cracker) shop located in Asakusa's Nakamise. The Salt Pasta was born from a casual suggestion by a part-time female staff member at the time of the shop's opening. It is made using 100% durum semolina wheat and fried at high temperatures for a crispy finish. A savory fried snack that will also please those who do not prefer overly sweet things. It is perfect as an accompaniment to alcohol, pairing wonderfully with beer or wine. A new Tokyo souvenir that utilizes traditional okaki techniques. As a gift, it serves as a thoughtful and sophisticated choice.
