Saikotei Walnut Cookies

Gently pick up a small cookie coated in snow-like powdered sugar. The moment it enters your mouth, it crumbles delicately, revealing fragrant pieces of walnut—that moment is irresistible. Saikotei began as a European-style home cooking restaurant opened in Yoyogi-Uehara in the Christmas of 1982. Their handmade sweets became so popular that they eventually transitioned into a confectionery specialty store. The Walnut Cookies are their signature item, featuring plenty of walnuts playing hide-and-seek within the powdered sugar. The small box with the squirrel illustration was born from a single painting gifted by an artist who once worked at the shop. A light, crispy, and crumbly texture paired with the rich flavor of walnuts. It is a perfect gift that brings a smile every time you open it.
