Tokiwado Kaminariokoshi Honpo Kami-Isobe 4-Type Mix

With a pleasant crunch and snap, the rice crackers break apart. Fragrant, puffed rice entwined with a subtle sweetness—Kaminariokoshi is a nostalgic flavor that has been loved for a long time in front of the Asakusa temple gates. Tokiwado Kaminariokoshi Honpo was founded in Kansei 7 (1795). With a name playing on the auspicious meaning of 'raising a family and bringing fame,' Kaminariokoshi has been a beloved souvenir for pilgrims visiting Kannon at Senso-ji Temple. The name is derived from Kaminarimon (Thunder Gate), and since 1892, the shop has been located in front of the current Kaminarimon. It is Edo craftsmanship passed down for over two hundred years. Its light texture and gentle sweetness make it perfect with tea. Named after an auspicious omen, it is also a much-appreciated gift for celebrations or greetings.
