Funawa Ren-Yokan (Hon-Ren)
A dense mouthfeel with a clean, elegant sweetness. This is Funawa's Hon-Ren Yokan, made by carefully kneading adzuki beans. Funawa is a long-established shop founded in Asakusa in 1902. It is known that the founder created 'Imo Yokan' (sweet potato yokan) as an alternative to the then-expensive Ren Yokan, which was difficult for ordinary people to afford. However, Funawa's original Ren Yokan is also one of its flagship products. The Hon-Ren, slowly kneaded while preserving the flavor of the adzuki beans, offers a deep taste that can be called the gold standard of Japanese confectionery. One slice provides a satisfying, elegant sweetness from the adzuki beans. It pairs well with green tea and even coffee. This is a flavor that shines during tea time and is perfect for gifting.

Funawa - Ren-Yokan (Chestnut)
This is an authentic Ren-Yokan made by Asakusa's Funawa—a shop famous for its Imo-yokan—using a recipe continued since their founding. Smooth smooth bean paste is generously filled with coarsely chopped chestnuts. Each stick is substantial and retains the true, rich flavor of the chestnut.
