The name comes from the practice of assigning a number to each flavor; the very first one created, "No. 1," was vanilla. The shop owners began as candy artisans, and since the wife's family owned a dairy farm, they came up with the idea for confections using milk and fresh cream, spending over two years teaching themselves to perfect the recipes. Everything is handmade without the use of flavorings, coloring, or preservatives. Within each small piece resides straightforward craftsmanship. It is a gentle gift that softly brings happiness to your daily life.
