Ainan Gold (Kawachi Bankan)

The variety name is Kawachi Bankan. Ainan Town, located at the southernmost tip of Ehime Prefecture, enjoys a warm climate where frost rarely falls even in winter, boasting the highest production volume of this citrus in Japan. Through overwintering cultivation, where the fruit matures slowly on the tree for over a year, it develops a clean taste known as a bitterness-free Japanese-style grapefruit.
