Miyoei
Located in Konan City, near Kosei Station on the Kusatsu Line, 'Miyoei' is the flagship brand of Kitajima Sake Brewery, which has continued brewing sake since the Edo period. It is said that the name originates from a poem in the Man'yoshu, and it has long been cherished locally as an auspicious name wishing for the prosperity of the world. Using subsoil water from the Suzuka Mountains and Omi rice grown with the same water, they carefully brew a food-pairing sake that complements Japanese cuisine perfectly.
