Seto Shuzoten (Setoichi)

The 'Setoichi' brand brewed by Seto Shuzoten has been attracting renewed attention in recent years. The brewery is located in Kaisei Town, Ashigarakami District, where pastoral landscapes stretch out. Founded in 1865 (the first year of the Keio era), Seto Shuzoten once suspended its in-house brewing; however, after renovating its wells and equipment, it revived sake production in 2018 for the first time in approximately 38 years. The brand 'Setoichi' embodies the passion of pouring all the brewery's techniques into creating a diverse range of sakes. With an acidity and umami reminiscent of wine, it is the taste of a resurrected brewery that captures the hearts of new sake fans.
