This bowl was perfected in 1960 at Ryushanghai in Akayu, Nanyo City. The star of the show is the spicy miso, which incorporates Akayu's specialty chili peppers with Yamagata's red miso, garlic, and various spices. A great bonus is that you can adjust the spiciness to your own preference. It is a rich, hearty bowl from the snowy region of Akayu that you'll find yourself craving especially on cold days.
