It was created through a collaboration between the Nagasaki Airport Building and Hakusuido, a long-established confectionery shop in Aburaya-machi, Nagasaki City, which has been in business since 1887. Hakusuido is a specialty confectionery store known for items such as Peach Castella. Sakamichi Korokoro features moist Castella dough made with Nagasaki-grown honey, shaped into small, rolling squares. This adorable airport-exclusive sweet bears a name characteristic of the slope-filled city of Nagasaki.
