This is a long-selling product that has been baked since 1981 by 'Akai Fusen,' a confectionery shop founded in Sasebo in 1968. The rich aroma of almonds and fermented butter is enhanced with a hint of salt to bring out the flavor. In 2010, it won a gold medal at the Monde Selection in its very first entry. Golden on the outside and moist on the inside, it offers a luxurious taste achieved through slow baking using Kyushu-grown wheat.
