Karin-to Suzu Manju

Karin-to Suzu Manju

A confectionery with a playful name, combining 'karinto' (fried dough) and 'suzu' (bell), referencing the local area of Suzurandai. It is crafted by 'Suzune Kashi Noboriya,' a Japanese confectionery shop in Suzurandai, Kita-ku, Kobe. The dough, kneaded with brown sugar, is fried crisp in rice oil and generously filled with smooth red bean paste. The charm lies in the contrast between the fragrant fried crust unique to karinto manju and the moist bean paste. This is a simple, rustic item that has been loved by locals for a long time at a small shop located right near the station. It is a delightful snack that can be easily purchased for about 110 yen per piece. Please try the fragrance of it freshly fried.
