Hirano-ya Honpo Carbonated Chocolate Crunch
A playful chocolate confection inspired by the specialties of Arima Onsen. Produced by Hirano-ya Honpo, located on Taiko-dori, the main street of Arima Onsen. As a long-established shop, they adhere to their founding principle of 'texture over sweetness' and insist on additive-free, hand-made production. Using the famous carbonated rice crackers (tansan senbei) of the hot spring area as a base, we have crafted a chocolate crunch that combines fragrant crackers with chocolate. The crispy, light texture of the carbonated rice cracker melts beautifully with the mellow sweetness of the chocolate. It is a unique item unique to Arima Onsen that you will want to take home as a souvenir or enjoy during a relaxing break after a soak in the hot springs.
