Settsu Buraku
Created by Izumiya Honpo in Hyogo, "Settsu Buraku" is a manju (steamed bun) featuring carefully kneaded white bean paste gently wrapped in a mellow, butter-flavored milk dough. Its name is derived from Yosa Buson, an Edo-period haiku poet born in Koma, Settsu Province. This flavorful confection was created with the wish to get even a little closer to the heart of Buson, who held a passionate love for his hometown throughout his life. The mellow richness of the milk and the elegant sweetness of the white bean paste melt together gently in your mouth. With a proven track record of multiple Monde Selection Gold Awards, this is a smooth and sophisticated treat where Japanese and Western flavors meet.
