Goncharoff 'Kobe Luminarie Plain Chocolate'
A chocolate creation that overlays the light festival decorating winter Kobe. Goncharoff is one of Japan's leading long-established chocolate makers, founded in 1923 in Kitano, Kobe, by Russian confectioner Makar Goncharoff. It is even said to have created Japan's first whiskey bonbon. This plain chocolate was crafted with the image of the Kobe Luminarie, which began as a way to mourn the victims of the Great Hanshin-Awaji Earthquake and to pray for the reconstruction and rebirth of the city. The packaging, reminiscent of majestic light art, is perfect as a winter souvenir from Kobe. Within its smooth and gentle sweetness, the history and prayers of Kobe softly reside.
