This modern Japanese sweet is crafted by 'Kanidaya,' a traditional ryotei (Japanese restaurant) with over 120 years of history. We use 'Doramame,' the premium black bean that Sakae Town is proud of. Using plenty of fresh eggs, the moist, baked sponge is infused with the rich flavor of black beans. Its soft, melting texture offers a unique novelty that sets it apart from conventional castella. This highly acclaimed sweet won the runner-up prize at the 'Chiba Prefecture Residents Recommend! Oku-rimono Grand Prix 2024.'
